Happy Wednesday! Our April birthday party with Devin was wonderful. He was so grateful for his gift cards and the cake was delicious! Thank you Dominica ! A big thanks to Michael Allison for donating the Wal-Mart gift card. Thanks to Miriam for your donation as well! We couldn’t have given Devin such a special birthday without your generosity!

We have 4 birthdays in May. We are in need of donations! We have J. turning 15, T. turning 19, S. turning 20, and J. turning 20. We are going to celebrate J’s birthday at Lake Norman on May 12th beginning at 11:00am. I am waiting on his wish list and will be in touch with the details. Also, we have having one party for the 3 girls on June 16th at Lake Norman . We had to push this one back a couple of weeks because of scheduling conflicts. Please let me know if you would like to join us at the lake! We have a blast! I will also be in touch with the girls’ wish lists!

LOVE CHANGES THINGS!!!!

We have one birthday boy in April. D. is turning 18. He wants Visa Gift Cards or Wal-Mart gift cards. That’s all his wish list consisted of so I am assuming that he wants to pick out his own stuff. He also said he wants chocolate cake with chocolate icing.

The party will be held on April 15th at 1:30pm. Hope to see you there!

Do you konw that at least 600 million children around the world live in absolute poverty?  As a direct result of that, over 30,000 children die each day due to poverty.  400 million children have zero access to clean water and there are 143 millions of orphans in the world.

This is heartbreaking, but instead of being sad and sitting on the sidelines, Love the Little Ones is determined to make a difference.  We are committed to beginning locally-right here in our hometown- to bless the children.  Currently, we focus on loving on the children at the local Children’s Home. For the past few years we have been taking birthday parties into the home on a monthly basis and celebrating each and every child that resides there.  What an honor!

We also give to needy families.  We understand that families have hit hard times and with the uncertainty of the economy, it is just a fact that some families need help.  We give clothes, furniture, and monetary gifts to those who are in need.

We welcome you to come on board and commit to loving the little ones with us.  Together, we can make a difference locally and around the world.  Please consider joining us as we serve those in need and extending a monthly monetary donation.

We finally have some birthdays coming up for the month of December! Yay! K. is turning 20 years old on Dec. 20^th and A. is turning 19 on Dec. 17^th.

These two girls live in the new transitional cottage at the Children’s Home.

The Children’s Home opened this cottage for those who have already graduated high school but aren’t ready for the great big world out there. They are doing so well! We are going to have the party on Sunday December 19^th at 1:30pm.

They want a big cookie instead of a cake.

LOVE CHANGES THINGS!!!

Our July birthday party at the lake was awesome! Thank you to all who gave money and gifts for D. as well as those who came to the lake to celebrate!

We have been having a blast with the kids so far this summer. They love swimming and tubing at the Lake!! We are going to go horseback riding sometime within the next couple of weeks.

I will keep everyone posted!

Hey there! I hope everyone is doing great! I wanted to let you all know that the May birthday party was awesome! We were able to purchase the guitar for C. after all with some last minute donations from Jennifer and Janice! Thanks so much girls! I believe that could be life altering for him.

J. had a nice birthday as well. He received a couple pair of sport shorts, basketball t-shirt, gift cards for sneakers, cash, and socks! Thanks again for all your generosity, support, love, and prayers!

We got to play basketball outside for a good hour afterwards and that was a big highlight. Their basketball goals are in terrible shape if anyone knows of a cheap one we could get somewhere and bless those kids with a decent goal to shoot on. They really need new backboards on the ones they already have as well. Let me know if you know of how we could help in that area.

We are going to be doing something a little different for the June birthday parties. C. and K. are having birthdays in June. Ms. Pearl is their house parent and she is adventurous. They want to have the party at the lake.

My family has a place on Lake Norman so we are planning to take the girls up on Saturday June 5^th. Anyone who wants to come please shoot me an email and I will give you the address or directions. I do want to extend a special invitation to those of you who already come to the parties most months….Janice, Dominica, Miriam, Yvonne, Alicia, Erin….please come if you can. I do not have the girls’ wish lists yet. I will send out another email as soon I get those.
